Mary Ellen Sanders

Mary Ellen Sanders nee Wilson of Cuba, MO, was born on Sunday, Apr. 7, 1946 in House Springs, MO to Thomas Lester Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Kopf Wilson. She passed away in her home on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 21 days.
Mary Ellen married James Raymond Sanders on July 27, 1962 in Dittmer, MO and to this union two children were born. They moved to Cuba from St. Charles, MO in 2003. She made a profession of faith as a young adult and was baptized at Dittmer Bible Church. Mary Ellen served faithfully as a pastor’s wife and his secretary for more than 40 years. She recently was a member of the True Vine Baptist Church of Sullivan, MO and loved teaching teenagers in Sunday School. Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her hobbies were raveling, camping and taking care of pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Floyd Wilson and brother-in-law Melvin Eftink.
She is survived by her husband James Raymond Sanders of Cuba, Mo; children Tammy (Marshall) Martin of Cherryville, MO and Bill (Sheryl) Sanders of Waterloo, IL; brothers Vernon Wilson of Potosi, MO and Thomas Wilson of Cedar Hill,MO sisters-in-law Betty (Herman)Eftink and Janis Eftink all of Oran, MO, Judy (Howard) Beaman of Kansas City, MO, Ruth Ann Cave of Chaffee, MO and Jean Wilson of Slaughter, KY; grandchildren Greg, Laura, Heather, Kevin and Jennifer; great grandchild Marshall; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was Tue., Mar. 3, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and Funeral Service on Wed., Mar. 4, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Pastor Chuck Tedrow officiating. Burial at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, MO.
