Betty L. Landing

Services for Betty (Woodcock) Landing, age 85, of Sullivan, was conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with burial in Cave Spring Cemetery, Sullivan, MO.

Visitation was held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.

Betty was born on July 31, 1931 to Claude and Ava Robertson Woodcock in Sullivan, MO. She married Glenn M. Bertrand and to this union two children were born, Glenn Jr. and Donna. Glenn Sr. passed away while the family was young.

She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and member of the fraternal order of Eagles Arie 3781. Betty enjoyed watching John Wayne and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved dogs and cats.

Betty is survived by her children, Glenn “Jake” Bertrand, Jr. of Sullivan and Donna Starr of Bourbon; three grandchildren, Jed (and his wife, Samantha) Starr of Bourbon, Joshua (and his wife, Shawna) Starr of Sullivan, and Joe (and his wife, Christie) Starr of Sullivan; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister- in-law, Ann Goodman of Sullivan; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Bertrand, Sr.;  a brother, Jack Woodcock; a sister, Beverly Smallwood; and infant grandson, Glenn Bertrand, III.

Betty passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
