Virginia Rose Bouse

virginia-rose-bouse-obit-colorVirginia Rose Bouse, 90, wife of the late Arvil F. Bouse, died and was called into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the afternoon of Thursday, August 4, 2016.

Virginia Rose Roussin was born on May 13, 1926 to Lawrence Roussin and Rosa Clara (Warnhoff) Roussin in Granite City, IL. She was baptized into Christ and His death and resurrection in June of 1926. In September of 1936, at the Lutheran Church in Union, MO, Virginia was confirmed in her Christian faith. She married Arvil Floyd Bouse on August 5, 1945 in Union, MO. He proceeded her in death in April of 2003.

God blessed their union with five children: Floyd F. Bouse (Shirley) of Ava, MO Lloyd E. Bouse (Diane) of Thomson, GA, Virginia Ann Warner (Ross) of Hephzibah, GA, Donna Marie Kennedy (Doug) of Evans, GA, Tina Charlene Taylor (Lawson Gene) of Lakeland, FL. From those children there are also 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Virginia also has one brother still living; Karl David Roussin of St. Clair, MO.

Virginia was a devoted charter member of Lake Oconee Lutheran Church in Greensboro, GA. She sang in the choir, played the violin for worship, and participated in many of the programs and events of the congregation. After moving to Evans in 2010, she became a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

As a young lady, she was awarded first chair for her violin talents and was also awarded for placing second in the State of Missouri. Virginia had a passion for music. She enjoyed playing her violin, singing, and dancing. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Virginia will be remembered for her great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her.

The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. Chapel with Rev. Roger Schwartz officiating.
