Services for Audrey (Tyree) Woodruff, 96, of Pacific, MO, formerly of Sullivan, were at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at First Assembly of God Church of Sullivan. Burial will be at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Sullivan.
Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at the church.
Audrey passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Pacific Care Center.
Audrey Marie Tyree was born February 24, 1920 near Spring Bluff, MO, the daughter of Lone and Myrtle (Blankenship) Tyree. She married the love of her life, Rev. Robert Woodruff on October 25, 1941 in Sullivan. To this union two children were born: Stephen and Mary. Audrey was very integral in Bob’s ministry over the years they served together. She stayed busy at home where she was very protective of her family who were second only to her faith in the Lord. Many will remember her for always helping others and putting their needs before hers.
Audrey loved cooking, fishing, and spending time working in the yard raising her flowers. She was passionate about her ceramic dog collection—it totaled nearly 300!
Audrey is survived by her children; Mary Ellen Huddleston (and husband, Don) of Hartsville, SC and Stephen Woodruff (and special friend, Pamela Schmidt) of Pacific, MO and; two grandsons: Todd Huddleston of Spartanburg, SC and Matthew Woodruff of Pacific, MO; five great-grandchildren; Jade Corley, Rachel & Ryan Huddleston, and Paisley & MacKenzie Woodruff; one great-great-granddaughter, Madylen Bell Stokes; a sister; Rosalee Adams of Sullivan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert P. Woodruff in 1998; her parents, Lone and Myrtle (Blankenship) Tyree; a grandson, Tim Huddleston; six brothers: Walter, Lester, Wilbur, Albert, Roscoe and Bill Tyree Sr.; and four sisters: Stella Garner, Mabel Hartman, Jean Garner and Dorothy Spindler.
