Ralph L. Dornbach

Mr. Dornbach obit bwRalph Lee Dornbach, 89, of Sullivan, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, August 3, 2016.

Ralph was born in Brussel, IL, to the late John and Veronica (Telkamp) Dornbach. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from November 3, 1945 to December 11, 1946. Ralph was united in marriage to Mary Warrence in 1952 in St. Louis and raised his family there where he was employed in the construction trade as a General Contractor. Mary preceded Ralph in death in 1989 and Ralph retired shortly thereafter. In 1990, Ralph and Beulah moved to rural Sullivan and enjoyed gardening and fishing together over the years. Ralph was an avid pool player and also started the Golden Eagle Gun Club in Brussel while growing up there. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brussel and St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Richwood, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah Clubbs; six sons:  David (Theresa) Dornbach of St. Louis, Daniel (Patricia) Dornbach of Robertsville, MO, Dennis (Valerie) Dornbach of Potosi, MO, Dale (Janette) Dornbach of St. Genavieve, MO, Doug Dornbach of Florida, and Duain (Kathy) of Sullivan; two daughters, Debra Bowers of Manhattan, KS and Denise (Amos) Matlock of Belton, MO; all of Beulah’s family; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald; a brother, John Jr.; and a sister, Lee Schneider.

Services were conducted at 12 noon, Friday, August, 5, 2016 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial will follow at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery at Richwoods, MO.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until noon, Friday, August, 5, 2016 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
