John Lopez Castilleja, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the age of 37 years, 11 months and 2 days.
John was born in St. Louis, MO, on March 29, 1978 to Brenda Kay (Prewitt) Castilleja and the late John Lopez Castilleja, Sr. He had lived in the St. Louis area until the age of 9 when the family moved to the Bourbon, MO area. John lived off and on in both the Bourbon and St. Louis area for 20 years and then the past 15 years lived in St. Louis. John was an electronics specialist and fabricator and was employed at Auto Erotica and was recognized as a leader in his field of expertise. John was also a member of many Industrial Organizations relating to his technical field through social media. He enjoyed making people laugh and had a wonderful smile. He delighted in being a prankster and was loved dearly by his family and all who knew him. Living in a close-knit family, he enjoyed all of his family ties and was a true people person and didn’t know a stranger. John loved music and was also an accomplished photographer.
He is survived by children; Destiny Marie, Morgan Nicole, Cierra Kay and Skylar Agnes Castilleja and Kendyl Chanelle Baker, his Mommas, Brenda Prewitt-Lago and Gleid Nara Lago; his soul mate and partner, Rhonda Casey of St. Louis, two brothers, Timothy Castilleja and wife Beth, and Jeremy Castilleja; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his father John Lopez Castilleja, Sr. on August 15, 1977 and his grandmother, Maxine M. (Hall) Black.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with cremation to follow. Visitation for John Castilleja was held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
