Karen Lee Woods, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Karen Lee Shaffer was born on May 12, 1941 in Milbank, SD, to the late Glen and Helen (Ustrud) Shaffer. She grew up and attended school in South Dakota moving to California as a teenager. Karen was employed by the public school system in special education as a teacher’s aide. She is survived by two children, Cheryl Lundy and husband, Daniel, Jerry Woods all of Stockton, CA; five grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan and Amanda Lundy, Allen and Nicole Woods; three sisters, Barbara De La Pena, Janet Reiswig and Kathy Tualla all of California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Along with her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Woods and a sister, Margaret Allen. It was Karen’s wish to be cremated. Services will be conducted in California.
