Bonnie Immekus colorBonnie Lee Jost Immekus, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Bonnie was born on January 1, 1942 in Sullivan, MO, to the late Louie and Eva Maud (Schults) Jost. She grew up in the Strain-Japan area and on December 5, 1958, was united in marriage to Charles R. Immekus, Sr. in St. James, MO. Bonnie was a stay at home Mom who loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, loved all animals and crocheting booties for all her family. Bonnie was a member of New Testament Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Charles R. Immekus, Jr. of Bourbon, MO; one step-son, Charles David Immekus of Salem, MO; four daughters, Joyce Hoke and husband Kenny of Sullivan, Connie Lee Hoke and husband Eugene of Sullivan, Margaret Ann Burch of St. Clair, MO and Janet Zeugin and companion, Alan Welch of Sullivan; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Along with her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R, Immekus, Sr.; two step sons, Michael and Kenny Immekus; a son-in-law, John Burch; two brothers, Russ and Les Jost; and four sisters, Anna Hamm, Nadine Bledsoe, Betty Fuch and Marie Bailey. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, February 1, 2016, from the Southside Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home, 301 Sappington Bridge Road in Sullivan with interment in Odd Fellows Memorial Cemetery in Sullivan. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., at the Southside Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
