Marley Cecil Bizzle, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Gallup, NM, at the age of 65 years.
Marley was born on November 10, 1950, to the late Wid and Bessie (Thurmond) Bizzle at Sullivan, MO. He lived in various parts of the country because of his employment but the majority of his life was spent in Sullivan.
On July 22, 1995, Marley was united in marriage to Brenda Slankard in Sullivan, MO. He was employed at J.H. Berra Construction for 17 years as a truck driver hauling heavy equipment. Most recently, he was self- employed in the trucking industry. Marley was a gifted musician, playing the Bass and Rhythm Guitar. He especially liked Country Classic. Marley loved children and it was said that he had nine kids of his own but raised many more. His door was always open to any child and he was a mentor and hero to many. Marley was a man of all seasons. He was passionate about hunting and in his younger days, enjoyed drag racing, motorcycles and was an accomplished horseman. He always had a lot of nerve and grit and always had your back.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Bizzle nee Slankard of the family home; nine children, Marley C. Bizzle, Jr. and wife Shelly of Gerald, MO; Tammy Buchanan and husband Shawn of Union, MO; Kelly Bizzle of Union, MO; Dale Bizzle of Cuba, MO; Misty Cason and husband Frank of Cuba, MO; Justin Bizzle and wife Robyn of Sullivan; Shandy Byrd and husband John of Sullivan; Shalon Williams and husband Nick of Sullivan; and Carrie Williams and husband Russ of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Carl Bizzle of Sullivan; two sisters, Leona Williams of Sullivan; and Darlene Knight of the State of Indiana; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
Along with his parents, Marley was preceded in death by three brothers, Hershall Bizzle; Clifton (Bud) Bizzle; and Roy Bizzle; three sisters; Nell Krygiel; Josephine Sparks; and Delores Flyzik.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, from the Sullivan Family Worship Center with Pastor Duncan Skiles officiating. Interment was in Cave Spring Cemetery rural Sullivan. Visitation for Mr. Marley Bizzle was held from 3-8 p.m., Sunday at the Southside Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home, 301 Sappington Bridge Road, Sullivan, MO and on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Sullivan Family Worship Center.
