Ronald “Redge” Matthew Maierhoffer, Sr., 44, of Sullivan, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Belleville, IL.
Mr. Maierhoffer, son of Leonard Maierhoffer and wife Joan nee Burke was born October 12, 1970 in St. Louis. He was raised in St. Louis and received his schooling at St. James Greater Parish in Dogtown.
On June 23, 1990, he was united in marriage to Connie Isgriggs in Villa Ridge.
Ron was a dedicated employee working as a Truck Driver for over 16 years and was most recently employed at Silgan in Union for the past 3 years.
Ron liked to spend time hunting, fishing, playing baseball and soccer with his children. He enjoyed growing vegetables, gardening and was excellent at cross stitching. As a die-hard Blues fan, he would take in a game with his friends every chance he could.
Mr. Maierhoffer was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Irene Maierhoffer and Sylvester and Henrietta Bertke.
He is survived by his wife Connie Maierhoffer of Sullivan; two sons, Ronald Matthew Maierhoffer, Jr. and wife Jasmine of Union and Cody Maierhoffer of Sullivan; his parents, Leonard and Joan Maierhoffer of St. Louis; two brothers, John Maierhoffer and wife Donna of Bourbon and Phillip Maierhoffer and wife Melinda of Jefferson City; his granddaughter, Lilly Jeanette Maierhoffer; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held 5-9 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union. Interment at Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union. Visit www.midlawn.com for an online register book.
