Vada Valley, 72, of Bourbon, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at her home in Bourbon.
Vada was born on March 20, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Robert Edwin and Alice LaVerne (Crockett) Clarke. Vada was employed as a waitress in her youth at the former I-44 Restaurant, by Brown Shoe Company in Union, K-Mart for 15 years and Walmart for 15 years. Vada married Melvin Glenwood Valley and they made their home in Bakersfield, CA since 1978. Vada had just recently moved back home to Bourbon to be near her family. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and most recently, crocheting. She will be missed by her son, grandchildren and extended family.
She is survived by her son, Adam Valley of Bourbon; six grandchildren; one brother, Terry Clarke of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Marge Sharkey of Bourbon and Roberta DeOrnellis of Centralia, MO; other relatives and friends.
Vada was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Clarke and Alice L. Crockett Clarke; her husband, Melvin Valley; one daughter, Audrey Christine Valley; and two sons in infancy, Robert and Aaron.
It was Vada’s wish to be cremated and services will be private.
