Memorial Services for Mitchell “Mickey” C. Helton, age 60 of Sullivan will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Duke West officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
Mitchell Charles, Mickey as he was known, was born on June 12, 1956 to Robert L. and Betty J. (Sanders) Helton, Sr. in St. Louis, MO. Mickey grew up and attended Sullivan schools. After high school, he honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Mickey spent his working years employed in the machinist trade in St. Louis until ill health forced him to retire. Mickey had a great sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved him family very much.
Mickey is survived by his children, Tori (Thomas) Belt of Festus, MO, Michelle (Bryan) Coats of High Ridge, MO, and Mitch (Shelby) Helton of Long Beach, MS; three siblings, Bobby Helton (and the late Debra Sanders) of Sullivan, Becky Soltysiak of Chesterfield, MO, Laura (Greg) Buchta of Jefferson City, MO; eight grandchildren, Chelsey Clonts, Brittany, Stephanie, and Zachary Belt, Elyza and Bo Coats, Bentley Hayes and Jayce Helton; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert L. Helton, Sr., and Betty J. (Sanders) Helton; and one sister Lisa Davis.
Mickey passed away February 2, 2017 at MO Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
