Services for Robby Batson, age 26, of Sullivan, were conducted 1 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor John Hampton and Pastor Ed Carter officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan.
Robert Scott was born on November 6, 1990 at Valparaiso, IN, to Daniel and Danette (Atwell) Batson. He grew up and attended school at Spring Bluff and then Sullivan High School, graduating in 2009. Robby was employed at Jack in the Box for many years before going to work for Frick’s in the meat department. He also worked at Jeckyl & Hydes since working 2 jobs was common for him. Robby had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good prank. He was kind hearted and hardworking, always willing to lend a hand to others. Robby was described as a social “butterfly” who always made time for his friends and family. He will never be forgotten by his family and many friends of which he brought much joy.
Robby is survived by his parents: Daniel Batson and wife Trisha of Sullivan and Danette Batson of Sullivan; one brother, Danny Batson and wife Chrissy of Sullivan; one sister, Coralea Batson of Sullivan; grandmothers, Ann Atwell of Hobart, IN and Marilyn Metzcus of Sullivan, and other relatives and friends.
Robby passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident.
