main-photo_cole_crop-colorServices for Britt Cole, 62, of Bourbon, MO, was held at 1 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Derek Ruble officiating. Cremation took place following the service.

Visitation was 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

Britt passed away unexpectedly at his home due to natural causes Friday, October 14, 2016.

Britt Len Cole was born June 26, 1954 in Evansville, IN, the son of Buthel and Eva (Hughes) Cole. As a young boy, his family moved to Arnold, MO, where he grew up and graduated from Fox High School. Britt began work for the Chrysler Corporation as a young man and spent the next 31 years employed until his retirement in 2005.

In 1976, he married Beverly Beezley and to this union their son Ryan was born. Britt had an unbelievable love for his son. Ryan was his pride and joy. Britt moved to Bourbon in the late ‘70s and continued working at the Chrysler plant in Fenton.

In 1986, he married Darlene Roskilly in Bourbon. Britt inherited four new daughters with this union: Charlene, Diane, Christina, and Janelle. After his retirement, Britt became a full-time Grandpa. He enjoyed living with Ryan and his family on the place at Cole Lane. He loved time spent with his grandchildren. Britt was a big time Cardinals fan, he enjoyed fishing, but his true passion was for hunting. He was a history and war buff who enjoyed driving demo derby cars as a young man. He was proud member of the National Rifle Association, most notably recognized as an Endowment member. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Britt is survived by his beloved son, Ryan and wife, Becky of Bourbon; grandchildren: Kaleb and McKenna; four step daughters: Charlene Robertson of Leslie, MO, Diane Vaughn (and husband, Doug) of Argo, MO, Christina Skiles (and husband, Mike) of Union, MO and Janelle Millheiser of Washington, MO; two sisters: Eva Cole of Springfield, MO and Gail Cole of Niangua, MO; his best friend and brother, Jim Rhodes of Kokomo, IN; and numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
