Kenneth Franklin Daves, known to many as Kenny, of Bourbon, MO, departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on October 2, 2016, having reached the age of fifty-five years and nineteen days.
Kenneth was born in St. Louis, MO, on September 13, 1961, son of Marvin Franklin Daves and Annette Janette Daves nee Kirk, known to all as Janette.
Kenny is survived by his mother, Janette Daves, of Bourbon, MO; by his sister, Sandra Unger and husband, Wayne, of East Dundee, IL; by his sister-in-law, Karen Daves, of Columbia, SC; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Daves, and by four brothers, Ronald, Richard, known to all as Rick, Gregory and Brian Daves.
Kenny was a Christian and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon, MO. During his working career he was employed as a painter for SLP Lighting, formerly Paramount, in Sullivan, MO. Kenny was a whiz on the computer and working on his computer was his favorite pastime. He enjoyed working in the yard and caring for and maintaining his home. What meant most to him was the time spent with his family.
A kind and loving son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation was held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Interment was in Brush Creek Cemetery, Gray Summit, MO. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon, MO.
