Lorraine L. Reimers

Lorraine Reimers 001 colorLorraine L. Reimers of Leasburg, Missouri was born on January 8, 1932 in Houlton, Maine to the union of Leon and Annie (Bourgoin) Deschaine and left from this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at her home at the age of 84.

 Lorraine was united in marriage to Walter Reimers on November 26, 1955 in Houlton, Maine and to this union five children were born, Lori, Karen, Gary, Brian and David.

 Lorraine worked several years at Summers Nursing Home in Leasburg, before becoming a homemaker. She was a longtime devoted parishioner of St. Francis Catholic Church in Bourbon. She enjoyed taking care of her home and spending time with her family and friends.

 Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lori Reimers; two sisters, Gloria Oaks and Gerry Myers; two brothers, Norman and Gilman Deschaine.

 Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband of 60 years, Walter Reimers of Leasburg, Missouri; four children, Karen and husband Donald Kunar of Lexington, Virginia, Gary Reimers and wife Cheryl Senger of Leasburg, Missouri, Brian Reimers of Wright City, Missouri, David and wife Erin Reimers of St. Charles, Missouri; two sisters, Nancy and husband Arthur Pion of Largo, Florida, Madeline Martin of Hartford, Connecticut, two brothers, Donald Deschaine of Massachusetts, Harold and wife Marcell Deschaine of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren, David, Jr., Ashley, Jacob and Brett Reimers, Kristen Voss, Matthew Oakley; three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church, 1050 Old Hwy. 66, Bourbon, Missouri.

Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Boever as the celebrant.

Graveside service was held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 1:00 p.m. at Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to St. Francis Catholic Church, 1050 Old Hwy. 66, Bourbon, Missouri 65441.
