Lois June Mueller

Lois MuellerLois J. Mueller, 85, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, MO. She was born in Old Monroe, MO June 4, 1930 to Anthony A. Yamnitz and Mary E. (Hartle) Yamnitz. She was raised in Perryville, MO. She was married to Norman Mueller from 1951 to 1991.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Denver Yamnitz, Donald Yamnitz, Delmar Yamnitz; 3 sisters, Grace Yamnitz, Hazel Short, Faye Slattery; and her first born son, Norman Eugene.

Survivors include children, Larry (Myra) Mueller of Branson, MO; Cynthia (Walt) Wyatt of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Pamala (Kenneth) Zahner of Perryville, MO; Timothy (Tina) Mueller of Perryville MO; and Rebecca (Nathan) Webb of Sullivan, MO. She has 8 grandchildren: Ryan,  Megan,  Joshua,  Stefani, Courtney, Nathan, Ericha, and Gavin; and 9 great-grandchildren: Trista, Bradyn, Aiden, Graeme, Landon, Merrick, Rhyse, Torin, and Josie.

June has many nieces and nephews that were special and dear to her heart, always wanting to know what was going on in their lives. She had one special nephew, Lee Short, of California, that she grew up with and was raised with her like a brother. 

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, MO and a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Sullivan, MO, after she moved to Sullivan in 1983.

She owned and operated June’s Ceramics in Perryville, MO, for 12 years. In Sullivan, MO, she worked as a sales clerk in Rexall Drugs Pharmacy and Walmart Pharmacy, was a member of the VFW, the TOPS organization for 20 years and a volunteer with the Missouri Baptist Hospital Ladies Auxillary.

June enjoyed countless crafts, mostly known for crotchet blankets that she made for every family member and donated to many local events.  Through the years, she loved gardening, bowling, playing cards and BINGO with her friends. She loved sunbathing by the pool and enjoyed social gatherings with friends and family. June cherished time with so many people that she always seemed to know someone wherever she would go.

Visitation and services was at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Sullivan, MO, on Friday, March, 4, 2016. Visitation was from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.  with funeral service following at 12 p.m. Graveside service and burial  was on Saturday, March 5, 2016, in Yount Community Cemetery in Perry County, MO, at 1 p.m.
