Sharon K. Nolie, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the age of 71 years and three months.
Sharon was born on March 30, 1944 in Sullivan, MO and was a life-long resident of the area. She was a graduate of Sullivan High School and later, worked for a time at the former Herb’s Meat Market. She then became self-employed in daycare in 1980, which she operated until her retirement just this past year. Sharon loved caring for others, especially children. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading, baking, and quilting in her spare time. Sharon treasured time spent with her kids and grandkids, and loved a good practical joke from time to time.
She is survived by two sons, Kelly Nolie and wife,Joan, and Dennis Nolie and wife, Christy, all of Sullivan; one daughter, Denise Beckett and husband, Randy, of Bourbon, MO; one brother, Wayne Collins of Sullivan; one sister, Vergie Montague and husband, Terry, of Sullivan; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Maci, Blake, Beau, Jered, DeLane, Titus and Vanessa; other relatives and many friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Opal Collins, two sisters, Janet Miller and Linda Voss and a brother-in-law, Junior Miller.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 from the First Assembly of God of Bourbon with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Sullivan, MO. Visitation for Ms. Sharon Nolie were held from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., Thursday evening at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan and thence to First Assembly of God for visitation on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
