William Witt

Mr. William Henry Witt of Sullivan, MO passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at MO Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 77 years, five months, and 13 days.
William was born at Northcutt, MO on December 18, 1937 to the late Will and Nora (Dilks) Witt. He came to Sullivan at a young age and later graduated high school.  William became employed as a machinist at the former PACO Company and then later at Cisco Valley Machine. On August 12, 1961 William was united in marriage to Imogene Taylor in Sullivan, MO and to this marriage two daughters were born. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time and loved time being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene, of the family home; two daughters, Denise Sands and husband, Don, of Newburg, MO and Billie Cook and husband, Joseph, of Sullivan; one brother, Odie Witt of Sullivan; three sisters, Emma Schuler and husband, Gene, of Sullivan, Thelma Miller of Sullivan and Beulah Kesterson of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, William was preceded in death by three sisters, Gertrude Finik, Pauline Wood and Frances Houston.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 in Cave Spring Cemetery, rural Sullivan, MO with Pastor Charles Idelman officiating.
