Gary Wayne Short
Gary Wayne Short, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at the age of 64 years.
Gary was born September 13, 1950 to the late Ira Wayne Short and Norma Louise Clary Short at Clinton, IL. He was united in marriage to Martha (Rusty) Marshall on December 30, 1972 in Salem, MO. Gary was employed as a Medical Technician in the Health Care Industry for many years. He enjoyed working around the home as a handyman, always busy fixing or building things. Gary also enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and playing daily with his granddaughter, Autum. Gary and Rusty were foster parents for a time. Gary also attended and volunteered at the Sullivan Christian Church where he was a member.
He is survived by his wife, Rusty Short of Sullivan, two daughters, Carrie Short of Sullivan, Becky Andreasen and husband, Jason, of Rogers AR, his mother, Norma Short, one brother, David Short and wife, Josie, of Bloomington, IL, one sister, Linda Buchanan and husband, Rod, of Clinton, IL, five grandchildren, Nicholas, Allison, Josephine and Isaac Andreasen, and Autum Immekus, special friend, Karen Gambill, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with his father, Ira Short, Gary was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Short.
Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2015 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO with Pastor Grady O’Dell officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery, Sullivan, MO. Visitation for Gary Short was from 10-11 a.m. Monday, at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
