Lee Bonna Fay “Bonnie” Summers, 81, formerly of Sullivan, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Conroe, TX. She was born March 24, 1934 in Ishmael, MO, the daughter of the late Clarence and Opal (Blount) McMillen. She married Charles Monroe Summers on September 1, 1948, he preceded her in death in April 1987.
Bonnie is survived by three children, one son, Charles Jerry Summers and wife, Jessica; two daughters, Sandra Kay Fortin and husband, Jorge, and Terrie Jean Gaskill and husband, Robert; seven grandchildren, Gary M. Summers, Jr., Stephanie Kay Ogden, Stacy Ann Ogden, Rebecca Booth, Summer Dawn Beeman, Mark Summers, and Jarrod Gaskill; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother Billie McMillen; one sister Nancy Juergens and husband, Dale; one daughter-in-law, Judy Summers and one sister- in-law, Wilma McMillen.
Bonnie was preceded in death by one son Gary Monroe Summers and one daughter Patricia Carol Tilley.
Bonnie moved to Sullivan after Charles passed away. In the last few years, she began to winter in Texas. She loved to cook, look at recipe books, crochet, talk with friends on the phone and watch TV. In her earlier years, she was a sales clerk at Fairway Drug.
Private funeral services were held at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial followed at the I.O.O.F Cemetery.
