Jeanne Casteel.colorJeanne Casteel, 92, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on June 3, 2015 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was born April 23, 1923 in Green City, MO to Jerome and Elma Moddrell Watts. She married Aubrey Casteel on January 26, 1946 in Lancaster, MO, He preceded her in death April 12, 2004. Jeanne loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, caring for her flowers, and knitting. She had been attending the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Clinton (Cherri) Casteel of Bloomfield, Terry Casteel of Titusville, FL; four grandchildren, Marc (Jana) Casteel of Ankeny, Iowa, Jill (Tony) Green of North Bend, WA, Wende (Jeremy) Howk of Bloomfield, April (Drew) Ewing of New Bremen, OH; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Colten Green, Kerbe Howk, and Kale Casteel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Angela Casteel; two sisters; and a brother.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Donna Olinger officiating. Burial will be at the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, MO.
Visitation began at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015 with the family present to greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established to the Senior Center in Bloomfield. Online condolences may be left at www.waglerfuneralhome.com.

Carey.colorThomas  Albert  Carey, 89, of Leslie, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Carey was born in Richwoods, MO on October 29, 1925, the son of the late Albert A. and Nellie (Daugherty) Carey.
He served his country during WWII  in the United States Army. He worked as a chemist in the lab at Hawthorn Finishing Co. in New Haven for many years. He also worked at Ardco in Wellsville, MO and Permaneer Manufacturing in Union. He  owned and operated Lyon Feed Store, and he  farmed.
He was the husband of Irma Lydia (Blaue) Carey. They were married May 2, 1953 at the Evangelical Church Parsonage in Marthasville, Missouri.
Tom enjoyed farming and woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren and he was a great storyteller.
He is survived by his wife, Irma; seven children: Theresa Busch and husband, John, Morrison; Evelyn LaBoube and husband, Vernon, of Berger; Carol Scheer and husband, Kevin of New Haven; Linda Beste and husband, Neal,of New Haven; F. Tom Carey, of Leslie; Michael Carey and wife, Mary of New Haven; and Jerome Carey and wife, Lisa of New Haven; 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is survived by one brother Joe Carey and wife, Mary Ann, of Maryland Heights; by three sister Margaret Carey, Sullivan; Joann Metro and husband, Andy, of Sullivan; and Mary Vincenc of Sullivan. He is also survived by two sister-in-laws, Myrtle Scheer and husband, Jim, of Union and Frieda Carey of New Haven.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by a daughter, Judy Carey; by a grandson Stuart Blankenship; by four brothers Bill, Henry, Fritz and Donald Carey, and his mother and father-in-law Virgil  and Selma Blaue.
Visitation  was held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, MO.

Kathleen Marie Freeman nee Nerbonne, 65 of Sullivan passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Sullivan.
Mrs. Freeman, daughter of the late Hank Nerbonne and wife Beverly, nee Jenkins, was born July 19, 1949 in Sacramento, CA.
On July 31, 2014 she was united in marriage to William Freeman in Sullivan.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her parents, Hank and Beverly Nerbonne; two brothers, Mike Nerbonne and Richard Nerbonne and two sisters, Jackie Nerbonne and Corinne Nerbonne.
She is survived by her husband, William Freeman of Sullivan; one son, Bobby Erwin and wife, Christina, of Sullivan; one daughter, Kayliene Erwin and fiancé, Joe Esslinger, of Sullivan; one brother, Lewie Nerbonne of CA; four grandchildren, Caydence Erwin, Bobby Gene Erwin IV, Abigail Esslinger and Isaiah Esslinger; two step-sons, Corey Beebe of Sullivan and Joey Beebe of Sullivan; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial visitation was held at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union. Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union with Pastor Tom Ison officiating.
Memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are preferred.

ImageJane Beckett, 80, of Campbell, passed away, Friday, June 5, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Beckett, daughter of William Ralph and Isabelle Watters Cavenah, was born on November 23, 1934 in St. Louis, MO.
She retired from the Campbell School, having worked in the Cafeteria.
Jane attended school and church in Bourbon, MO, where she met Fred Beckett and began her lifelong dedication of ministering to others. Jane supported this commitment through various occupations such as the cap factory in Bourbon, MO, a garment factory in Minneapolis, MN, while Fred attended North Central Bible College. She further continued assisting Fred at numerous churches through positions with the Assembly of God’s Women’s Ministries, various Nutrition Centers, Meals On Wheels, church camps, and playing the piano. She enjoyed reading, quilting, being a Brownie leader, sewing, and baking and decorating beautiful works of art better known as “one of Jane’s cakes”.
On October 19, 1951 in Bourbon, MO, she was united in marriage to Fred Lawrence Beckett.  He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Barr of Montgomery City, MO, Kathy Beckett of Stuart, FL; two sons, Garry Beckett and wife, Kimberly of Campbell, Danny Beckett and wife, Cheryl of Cody, WY; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandy Washburn of Selma, OR; one brother, Jack Cavenah and wife, Barb of Fort Worth, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Ralph Cavenah, Jr. and Robert Cavenah; two sisters, Shirley Coffey and Nadine Mulkey and one granddaughter, Anna Helena.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.  Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, June 9, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with Rev. Stan Welch officiating and a gathering of friends at the Bourbon Assembly of God Church in Bourbon on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 3-4 p.m., with burial following at Bourbon City Cemetery in Bourbon, MO.

Walter was son of Ruth and the late Howard F. Telthorst, Sr. He was born January 22, 1965.
Fun loving brother of Howard, Jr., Diane, Karen and Scott. Brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle.
Walter was preceded in death by his twin brother Thomas.

James L. Bach

jim bachJames L. Bach of Bourbon, Missouri passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday June 12th, 2015 at the age of 71 years old.
Jim was born in St. Louis, MO on January 16, 1944 to the late Jack L. Bach and Marguerite Davis Bach.
On November 28, 1967 he was united in marriage to Beverly Fulks Bach, they spent the majority of their married life in the Sullivan and Bourbon areas.
Jim enjoyed hunting, boating, camping and frying fish. He was the type of person that never met a stranger. He was generous and always lent a helping hand. Jim was actively involved as a member at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles aerie 4307 in Bourbon. Where he served as past president and a current trustee. He enjoyed socializing with all of the members.
For most of his life he worked as a tool and die maker and machinist as well as owning his own local machine shop. As a hobby he used his extraordinary machinist skills to design and make chokes and gun parts that were used in the surrounding area shooting matches.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Fulks Bach, five daughters, Julye Vogler of Union, MO; Angie Pinnell of Leslie, MO; Wendy Nye and husband, Jeffrey, of Sullivan, MO; Melissa Woodruff and husband, Rodney, of Sullivan, MO; Jamie Kage of Bourbon MO; Mark Pinnell, Sr. of Leasburg, MO who he considered his own son. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jim leaves one brother, Robert Bach and wife, Linda, of Sullivan, MO; 3 sisters, Rita Heady of Bourbon, MO; Carol Cowhick and husband, Jimmie, of Sullivan, MO; Wanda Fudge of Nashville, TN; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son James Randolph “Randy” Bach, and Terry Sands mother of Julye Vogler.
A Celebration of his life is planned for Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Bourbon Community Center. Doors will open at 4:30 pm, with the service beginning at 6:00 pm and dinner to immediately follow.
At Jim’s request his inurnment will be at the Stanton Cemetery in Stanton, MO where he will be at rest with his son Randy.

Peggy L. Reeves

Peggy L. Reeves of Bourbon, MO passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the age of 83 years.
Peggy was born at Bourbon, MO on September 25, 1931 to the late Jess and Rosa (Jones) Pennock.  Later in life she was united in marriage to Alva Harrison Reeves and to this union five children were born. Peggy was employed for a time at Fashion Shoe in Sullivan and later at the Bourbon laundromat. Her family was an important part of her life and provided for them with all her love and affection. Music also held a special place in her heart as she and her siblings could all play instruments including the guitar, banjo, fiddle, bass and accordion.  Music was the center of most get-togethers. Peggy and her brother Lee had a radio show on Sullivan’s KTUI where they played the old country songs. They would also play at many of the area dances. Peggy was also an avid gardener and always had fresh vegetables in the summer to enjoy.
She is survived by three sons; Dave Reeves of Bourbon, MO, Gerald Reeves of Cuba, MO and Alva Eugene Reeves and wife, Darlene, of Leslie, MO; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Alva Harrison Reeves; two daughters, Joanne and Bev; a daughter-in-law, Jean Reeves; six brothers, Lawrence, Lee, Jessie, Ted, Roger and Bob Pennock; and three sisters Nellie Miller, Daisy Paul and Martha McClary.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, MO. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Mercy Hospice of Washington. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at www.eatonfuneralhome.com

Ashley Michell Payne

Ashley  Michelle   Payne  of  Salt  Lake  City,  Utah  formerly   of  Bourbon, Missouri  passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the age of 26 years.

Ashley was born on April 13, 1989 in Washington,  MO to David Payne and Annette Reniker Payne. She was raised in the Salt Lake City and Letti, Utah areas  for  most  of  her  childhood.  However  she  did  attend  Bourbon  High School for a time. She also attended college in Salt Lake City.  Ashley loved the  outdoors,   and  was  always  up  for  a  challenge.  She  enjoyed   hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, reading and crafting. She was employed  by Home Depot and Quiznos.

She  is survived  by father  and step  mother, David Payne  and wife, Judy of Bourbon,   MO,  her  mother,   Annette   Payne  of  Phoenix,   Arizona,   three brothers,  David  Payne  and  wife,  Lori  of  Omaha,  NE,  Simon  Payne  of Germany,  Chris  Keogh  and  wife, Erin of Phoenix,  AZ, four sisters,  Sarah Payne of Washington, MO, Amber Ault and husband, Eric of Salt Lake City, UT, Stephanie  Payne of Krakow, MO, and Sheri Wolfe and husband, Jacob of  New  Freedom,  PA,  maternal  grandmother,  Linda  Reniker,  step grandparents, Lloyd  and  Betty  Pennock  of  Bourbon,  MO,  aunts,  uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ashley  was  preceded  in death  by  her  paternal  grandparents, Elwood  and Mildred Payne, and her maternal grandfather, John Reniker.

Memorial  services  will  be conducted  11  a.m.   on Saturday,  June  27, 2015 from  the  chapel  of the  Eaton  Funeral  Home  in Sullivan,  MO  with  Pastor Derik Ruble officiating.

Alice Bacon of Washington, MO formerly of Sullivan, MO passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the age of 48 years.

Alice was born on September 28, 1966 to Raymond Bacon and the late Delphia Sumpter Bacon at Sullivan, MO. She attended Fort Zumwalt High School in O’Fallon, MO and was active in Special Olympics bowling. Alice loved to sing and dance and also enjoyed cookbooks and puzzle books. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan. 

She is survived by her father, Raymond Bacon and wife, Linda of Sullivan, MO, five sisters, Teresa Buchmann and husband, David, of Washington, MO, Robin McFarland of the state of Indiana, Elaine Housewright and husband, Jeff,  of Sullivan, MO, Susan Moeckel of Sullivan, MO, Amy Gozia and husband, Joe,  five brothers, James Smith of Sullivan, MO, Andy Smith and wife, Cindy, of Gerald, MO, Joe Smith and wife, Rachal, T. J. Grannemann and wife, Larua,  and  Heath Bacon and wife, Amber, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Delphia Bacon, brother, Kyle Bacon, and great niece, Macayla Carpenter and brother in law, Steve Moeckel.

Eunice BrantEunice L. Brant of Sullivan, MO passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at the age of 90 years.

Eunice was born July 14, 1924 to the late Charles and Beatrice (Thurmond) Brant at Spring Bluff, MO. She made her home in St. Louis for many years and was employed by a clothing distributor as a secretary. She later worked for Third Baptist Church in the office where she and her sister attended. Upon retirement Miss Brant came to Sullivan and attended Temple Baptist Church. She loved traveling with her sister, Carol and together they visited many interesting places. She is survived by one brother, Keith Brant and wife, Ellen, of Sullivan, MO, a sister in law, Mildred Brant of the state of California, two nephews, Deron and Brian Brant of Sullivan, two nieces, Kylene Brant of Sullivan and Wanda Ensley and husband, Mark, of California, 3 great nieces, and one great nephew, other relatives and friends.       Along with her parents, Miss Brant was preceded in death by one brother, Clark Brant and one sister, Carol Brant. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from the chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment was in Cave Spring Cemetery, Sullivan, MO. Visitation for Eunice Brant was from 11 a.m. till time of service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO

Bruce Edward PriceBruce Edward Price of St. Louis, formerly of Sullivan, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the age of 48 years.

Bruce was born in Sullivan, Missouri on June 25, 1966 to Margaret Ann (Hankins) Price and the late Luther Price. He was a graduate of Sullivan High School Class of 1985 and later attended Maryville University attaining a para-legal degree.  He was employed until recently by the Volgler Law Firm. Bruce lived in the Delmar Loop District and was involved in many of the ongoing activities there.  He was known as a soft hearted individual who was caring to all and loved his dog Riley. 

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Price of Sullivan; three brothers, Timothy Price and wife, Debbie, of Waterloo, Illinois, Louis Price of St. Clair, Missouri and Luke Price and wife, Mary, of St. Ann, Missouri; two sisters, Cindy Price and Laura Schmidtke and husband, Roy, of Bourbon, Missouri; and beloved friend Ryan Thompson of St. Louis; other relatives and friends. Along with his father, Bruce was preceded in death by a brother Jeffery Price.

Graveside memorial services were conducted at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Sullivan with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Roy Louis Baldwin

Roy BaldwinRoy Louis Baldwin of Sullivan, MO, passed away at his home on Wednesday,  June 17, 2015 at the age of 85 years and nine months.

Roy was born in the New Rock area near Bourbon, MO on September 17, 1929 to the late William and Leona (Servais) Baldwin. He was a graduate of Bourbon High School Class of 1947 and later honorably served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. Roy attained the rank of Corporal with the 10th Military Police Company and was a mechanic the in motor pool on all of the military police vehicles.  On April 5, 1953 Roy was united in marriage to Joyce Sansouci at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan and to this marriage two daughters were born.  While still in the service, Roy and Joyce moved to Junction City, Kansas in 1954, where he helped organize the First Baptist Church and was a trustee.  Later, after moving back to Sullivan, Roy owned and operated Town and Country TV. After several years, Roy became employed at the former Sullivan Community Hospital as a maintenance man and ambulance driver. He worked there for 22 years before leaving to become a maintenance man at Meramec State Park. He retired after 10 years there.  Roy was a 51 year member of the Sullivan Volunteer Fire Department and was past Fire Chief and sat on the first Board of Directors when the District was formed. He was a member of Sullivan Lodge #156 Independent Order of Odd Fellows and a 64 year member of Temple Baptist Church. He worked with the youth and was President of the Men’s Brotherhood of Missions. At one time he was chairman of the Board of Deacons. Roy enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Joyce of the family home; two daughters, Kay L. McCowan and husband, Darrell, of Sullivan, and Kim Jones and husband, Thomas, of Sullivan; one granddaughter, Kayla Savant and husband, Michael; other relatives and friends.  Along with his parents, Roy was preceded in death by a brother Everett Baldwin and two sisters, Viola and Lucille Baldwin.

Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 from Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. The funeral was concluded with Firefighter’s Honors.  Interment with Military Honors was in Crow Cemetery, rural Sullivan. Visitation was held Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may be made to TBC Missions Fund. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at www.eatonfuneralhome.com. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.

Maxine Alberta Roehl, 85, of Owensville, MO., passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville.

Maxine was born in Franklin County on April 19, 1930, to the late Albert and Ethel (Naugel) Binkholder. She was united in marriage to Chester Roehl on November 17, 1973, in Union. She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Owensville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester; brother, Bob Binkholder; sisters, Leola Havener and Aliese Renick; brothers-in-law, Delbert Havener, Arthur Garver, Roy Vandegriffe, Raymond, Gerard and George Roehl; sister-in-law, Gladys Binkholder.

Her survivors include her three sisters, Gladys Garver of Owensville, Eleanor Vandegriffe of Oregon City, Oregon, and Joyce Danz and husband, Forrest, of Rosebud; brother-in-law, Curtis Renick; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 27 at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Les Dority officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens.

Debra Leanne Shoemaker of Owensville, MO passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at her home in Owensville.

Debra was born in Sullivan, MO on January 3, 1972, a daughter to Susan (Spoon) and the late Charles Huff. On May 6, 1995 she was married to Mark Shoemaker in Sullivan, MO.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Huff.

Her survivors include her husband, Mark Shoemaker; her mother, Susan Huff of Sullivan; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oran and Leona Shoemaker of Owensville; by one son, Logan Shoemaker and one daughter, Morgan Shoemaker of Owensville; one sister, Diane Peebles and husband Danny of Sullivan, MO.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Pastor Dennis Spurgeon officiating.

 

Robert L. “Bob” Trokey

Robert L. Trokey colRobert L. “Bob” Trokey age 80, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Sullivan. Bob was born January 30, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to the late Joseph and Lora (Rickus) Trokey. On September 14, 1956 he married Sonja Green in St. Louis. She survives of the home.

Bob is survived by three children; Two sons, Joe Trokey of Sullivan and Ben Trokey of Lebanon, MO. One daughter, Connie Christians also of Sullivan.  Three grandchildren: Lauren and Leah Christians, and Jacob Trokey.

He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Bob served his country in three branches of service. Four years in the Army National Guard, eight years in the Air Force and two years in the Naval Reserve. He enjoyed photography, woodworking, drawing cartoons, scouting and the outdoors, especially sailing. Bob’s passion in life was a teacher. He earned a PhD in education and enjoyed teaching kids that were at risk.

Margarita Isabel Barquero-Martinez colMargarita Isabel Barquero-Martinez age 42 of Sullivan, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at MO Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. She is the daughter of Mike and Margaret (Garcia) White.

Margarita is survived by five daughters, Christina Barquero, Yolanda Barquero, Alexus Barquero, Chrystal Martinez and Amanda Martinez; three grandchildren; Maddox Wood, Uriah Wood, Treysure Barquero; three  brothers, Charles and Max Thouvenel and Bryon White and wife, Kim; her grandfather, Fidel Garcia, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews  and numerous cousins.

She was a member of The Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Sullivan. Margarita cherished her children and loved the sand on the beach.

Memorial services for Margarita will be held at a later date.

Shirley  A. Anderson,  of Perryville,  MO passed  away Sunday,  June 28, 2015 at the age of 75 years.

Shirley was born on March 2, 1940 to the late Anthony Melvin and Annetta (Ames)  Anderson in St. Louis, MO.  She attended and graduated  from high  school  in  St.  Louis  and  was  employed   and  retired  from  Defense Mapping. In her younger days Shirley was very athletic and enjoyed playing softball where she was an accomplished pitcher. She also like pitching horseshoes  and playing  cards  on Friday  nights  with  the  family  she  loved dearly. Shirley was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan.

She  is survived  by two  brothers,  Melvin  Anderson  of Florissant,  MO and Jack  Anderson  of  Glen  Carbon,  IL,  nieces,  nephews,  other  relatives  and friends.

Along  with  her  parents,  Shirley  was  preceded  in  death  by  one  brother, William Anderson.

Funeral  services  were conducted  at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 from the chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Father Paul Telken officiating.  Interment  was in Rock Hill Cemetery,  Stanton,  MO. Visitation was held from  10:00  a.m. to 1:00  p.m. on Thursday,  July  2, 2015  at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.

Lloyd Keith Sharp, Sr.

Lloyd Keith Sharp, Sr. of Hollister, MO passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the age of 73 years, 11months and nine days.

Lloyd was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska on July 18,1941. He moved to MO during his childhood and later graduated from St. Clair High School where he was an exceptional track  and field athlete. After graduating, Lloyd honorably served his country  with the United State Air Force for four years attaining the rank of Airman 2nd Class. Lloyd was united in marriage on December 17, 1966 to Kathleen Light and to that marriage five children were born. He earned his living as a carpenter and retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters local 1839 in 1991. Shortly after, he made his home in Hollister, MO where he lived the remainder  of his life. In his free time he enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, woodworking and spending time with family and friends. Lloyd was a member of  The Loyal Order of Moose in Ridgedale, MO.

He is survived by four sons, Keith Sharp of Hollister, MO, Kendall Sharp and wife, Clarissa of Springfield, MO, Phillip Sharp and wife, Becky, of Pueblo, CO and Andy Sharp and wife, Salina, of Sullivan, MO; one daughter, Kelly Keen and husband, Brian, of Sullivan; two sisters, Pat Lumos of St.Clair, MO and Dorothy  Bennett of House Springs, MO; one brother, Butch Flanagan of Blue Springs, MO; 15 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sharp; mother, Doris Flanagan; step-father, Glen Flanagan; and two brothers Robert Sharp and Michael Flanagan.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m.,Wednesday, July  1, 2015 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with interment in Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, MO. Adlene M VossAdlene Marie Voss, age 83, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at her residence in Cuba. She was born February 7, 1932, in Altenburg, MO, to the late Herbert and Elenora (Perr) Mueller. Adlene married Henry Leo Voss, Jr., he preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Hinck and husband, Steve, of Springfield, MO, and Nancy Schmidt and husband, Gale, of Sullivan, Missouri; five grandchildren, Bethany Ray and husband, John, Amy Ruzich and husband, Richard, Daniel Hinck, Sarah Bryan and husband, Jeremy, and Kathryn Snodgrass and husband, Nathan; nine great grandchildren; one brother Timothy Mueller and wife, Colleen, of Altenburg, MO; one sister-in-law Carol Robertson and husband, Vernon ,of Bourbon; several nieces and nephews.

Adlene was also preceded in death by one daughter, Constance (Connie) Voss and one brother Marvin (Buddy) Mueller. 

Adlene was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cuba. She enjoyed life as a cattle rancher and tax preparer. Her passionate hobbies were gardening and card games. Most of all, she enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services for Adlene were held Sunday, July 5, 2015, at 3 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cuba.  The family received friends Sunday from 1 p.m. till time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Hill Cemetery in Bourbon. Donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to Hill Cemetery in Adlene’s name.

Sharon K. Nolie

Sharon K. Nolie, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the age of 71 years and three months.

Sharon was born on March 30, 1944 in Sullivan, MO and was a life-long resident of the area.  She was a graduate of Sullivan High School and later, worked for a time at the former Herb’s Meat Market. She then became self-employed in daycare in 1980, which she operated until her retirement just this past year. Sharon loved caring for others, especially children. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading, baking, and quilting in her spare time.  Sharon treasured time spent with her kids and grandkids, and loved a  good practical joke from time to time.  

She is survived by two sons, Kelly Nolie and wife,Joan, and Dennis Nolie and wife, Christy, all of Sullivan; one daughter, Denise Beckett and husband, Randy, of Bourbon, MO; one brother, Wayne Collins of Sullivan; one sister, Vergie Montague and husband, Terry, of Sullivan; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Maci, Blake, Beau, Jered, DeLane, Titus and Vanessa; other relatives and many friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Opal Collins, two sisters, Janet Miller and Linda Voss and a brother-in-law, Junior Miller. 

Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2015 from the First Assembly of God of Bourbon with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Sullivan, MO. Visitation for Ms. Sharon Nolie were held from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., Thursday evening at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan and thence to First Assembly of God for visitation on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
