Mildred Catherine “Kay” Janish, of Sullivan, MO, passed away on Wednesday, February, 4, 2015 at the age of 72 years.
Kay was born in St. Louis, MO to Harry and Bertha (Cox) Herbert and was raised there as a young girl. On August 24, 1960, she was united in marriage to Wayne Janish. They have made their home in the Sullivan area the past 40 years. Kay was employed as a stitcher at Paramount Headwear Company in Bourbon and later retired from there. She was known as a caring and kind individual who had a sweet, giving spirit. Kay enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She was a friend to many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of the family home; two daughters, Jane Crosby and husband, Ted, of Owensville, MO and Tammy Reid and husband, Jay, of Gerald, MO; one brother, Harry Herbert of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, Tabetha Jones and husband, Darrin, Jason Figgemeier, Tiffany DeBroeck and fiancée, Nick Huesgen, Tianna Figgemeier and fiancée Nick Tracy, Dakota DeBroeck, and Courtni Crosby; four great-grandchildren; Derek Jones, Emmett Jones, Camri Jones and Jayci Kolb; other relatives and friends. Kay was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Rieger.
Visitation for Mrs. Kay Janish was held on Saturday, February, 7, 2015 from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home, Clark Street location in Sullivan. Burial was private.
Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
