Peggy O. Chenoweth, age 88, of Sullivan, MO passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Life Care Center.
Peggy was born on August 16, 1928 in Bourbon, MO to Roy Erastus and Rose (Miller) Alexander. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon. Peggy moved to St. Louis and married Kenneth McBride and two sons, Brad and Mike, were born to their union. The family moved to Georgia where they lived for many years relocating back to Missouri in 1972. Peggy was employed with State Farm Insurance in both Georgia and Missouri. She enjoyed sewing and collecting dolls for her collection. The last years of her life were spent listening to Clinton’s Blue Grass Band and dancing the night away.
Peggy is survived by two sons, Brad (Joyce) McBride of Jadwin, MO, Michael McBride of Owensville; seven grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; one brother, Berkley Alexander of Bourbon; one sister, Amy Brewington of Bourbon;special friend; Clinton Howell of Sullivan; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Roy Erastus and Rose (Miller) Alexander; and three brothers; Max, Dean and Curtis Alexander
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with interment in Crossroads Cemetery, Leasburg, MO.
Visitation wase from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
