Robert L. Seal, age 59, of Cuba, MO, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home due to natural causes.
Robert Lee was born April 6, 1957 in St. Louis, MO, the son of William and Lois (Schlothauer) Seal. As a young child, Robert lived in various places (St. Louis, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and South America). He attended school mainly in Morrisville, PA. Robert graduated in 1976 from Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, PA. Robert then attended Bucks County Community College before journeying down the Appalachian Trail for the next couple of years. Throughout his entire life, he had a heart for others. For many years, he worked at Mountain View Children’s Home in Georgia helping disabled adults. Robert worked many other various jobs before returning to Missouri in 1990. Many will remember him as the “Fudge Man” from selling fudge at many tourist shops throughout the country. He was even known to sing a tune for his customers.
Robert loved the Beatles and photography and was an avid walker and backpacker. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Linda (Inglis) Seal of Cuba, MO; two sons, Jackson and Michael Markley of Cuba, MO; four grandchildren, Christopher, Alley, Kora and Kai Markley; one brother, Martin Seal; two sisters, Suzanne (Robert) Lesage of Spring Valley, CA, Linda (Monty) Wright of Cuba, MO; special nieces, Sarah Nance of Ocean Beach, CA and Elizabeth Lesage of Le Mesa, CA; special nephew, Robbie Lesage of Spring Valley, CA; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Brandy Markley Grady.
Visitation for Robert was from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home Sullivan and Bourbon.
