James D. Moll, 75, of Rosebud, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Gasconade Manor in Owensville, Missouri.
Jim, as he was known, was born on December 8, 1941 to Theodore Daniel and Agnes Frances (Ballmann) Moll in St. Louis, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Sandra Perrigo on March 23, 1979 at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri. He was employed in the construction business and was president and vice president for different construction companies. Jim also co-owned and operated Triad Construction Company in St. Louis.
Jim was a super guy and everyone loved him. He never met a stranger and was a lover of animals; including his mules and many dogs and cats. Jim had polio as a child and went to live in the country with his Uncle Herbie and Aunt Sette Kettler. They made quite an impression on him and instilled a great love of the country. He would eventually make his home in rural Cuba where he and several others helped build his dream cabin. After making many weekend trips there he and Sandy retired to the farm where Jim enjoyed working on the place, riding his tractor, gardening, canning, making preserves, wine and painting. Jim was a member of the Old Threshers Club and Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church, where he was on the board.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sandy Moll, of Rosebud; one brother, John Moll and wife Betty of Columbia, Illinois; two sisters, Sister Dorothea Moll of Gould, Arkansas and Mary Anne Keller of Fenton, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Robert) Dawson of St. Louis, Missouri and Carolyn Moll of St. Louis, Missouri; as well as additional nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; Theodore and Agnes (Ballmann) Moll; and one brother; Ted Moll.
