Bradford Gene McClary, Jr., also known as B.G., age 47, of Bourbon, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Brad was born on May 6, 1969 to Bradford Gene McClary, Sr. and Harriet J. West McClary in Sullivan, MO. He attended school in Salt Lake City, UT and Tulsa, OK. He was employed in the masonry trade for most of his life. Brad loved drawing, poetry, collecting “Hot Wheels” and hanging out at the river with his family. He was married to Joyce Johnson on December 2, 2011 and was known as “Poppy” to his grandkids. Brad enjoyed watching football, especially the Steelers and Rams. He was passionate about his family and loved them with all his heart.
Brad is survived by his wife, Joyce of Bourbon; five children: Bryce and Cody McClary, Josh and Tyler Protte of Bourbon, Meagan and husband Justin of Bourbon; his mom, June Peters of Sullivan; his dad, Brad McClary, Sr. of Sullivan; his in-laws: Vernon and Renee Graven of Bourbon; four grandchildren: Delilah, JoAnna, James and Carter; six siblings: R.J. Peters and wife Jamie of Sullivan, Vernon Peters and wife Aubrey of Sullivan, Stoney Johnson of Leasburg, Becky Johnson of Sullivan, Beth McClary and friend Ken Hathman of St. Clair, and Rachelle Peters of Deep Water, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Martha McClary and Bert and Bertha West; and step dads, Ronald Peters, Sr. and Bill Dempsey.
The family will have services at a later time. All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan and Bourbon.
