Funeral Mass for Lillian Davis age 95, of Sullivan was celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Paul Telken officiating. Burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Davis was from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Lillian was born on July 4, 1921 at St. James, MO to Thomas and Lillian May (Cooper) Edwards. She was united in marriage to John L. Davis in Sullivan and two sons were born to their marriage; Ralph D. and John Roger. She was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic church where she was involved in the Ladies Guild. She helped with many funeral dinners for many years. She was also a member of the Unique Club in Spring Bluff and served as president and treasurer. Lillian was employed by International Shoe and Midwest Shoe Company and retired from there. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all.
She is survived by her son; John Roger Davis of Sullivan, two granddaughters; Shelly Foote and husband Greg of New Castle, CO and Allison Davis of Washington D.C., and two sisters; Mary Monda and husband Buell of Sullivan and Florence Thurmond of Park Hills, MO, other relatives and many Friends.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas and Lillian (Cooper) Edwards, her husband; John L. Davis and one son; Ralph Davis, four brothers and two sisters.
Lillian passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.
Masses to St. Anthony Catholic Church are appreciated.
