Mary Jean Cuneio

Mary Jean Cuneio obit colorMary Jean Cuneio, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the age of 85 years.

Jean, as she was known, was born on January 25, 1931 at Cuba, MO to the late Elmer L. and Mamie E. (West) Osborn.

On August 20, 1949, Jean was united in marriage to Floyd M. Cuneio and they were blessed with four children, Jerry, Larry and twins, Dean and Dianne. Mrs. Cuneio was employed at the former Schulte Bakery in Fairway Shopping Center for 13 years and Paramount Metalizing for 13 years. She was a devoted wife and mother who cared for her ailing husband for many years. Jean was also a very good seamstress and, for many years, made pillows for the hospital’s surgery patients. She accepted the Lord as her Savior and was faithful member of First Assembly of God for over 65 years. She taught the Ladies Bible Class for Sunday school for many years and cooked her special sweet potatoes for most all the church funeral dinners. A wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister and aunt, Jean will be lovely remembered by her family and church family.

She is survived by three children; Larry Cuneio and wife Kay of Sullivan, MO, Dean Cuneio and wife Linda of Sullivan, MO, Dianne Ruble and husband Rev. Randy Ruble of Potosi, MO, daughter in law; Mary Cuneio of Desloge, MO, 9 grandchildren; Michael Cuneio, Daniel Cuneio and wife Andrea, Amber Nichols and husband, Chuck, Dana Tutterrow and husband, Stacy, Doug Cuneio and wife, Amy, D.J. Cuneio and wife Lydia, Ryan Cuneio, Zach Ruble and wife Heather, Pastor Derik Ruble and wife Sarah, 8 great-grandchildren, Jordan Cuneio, Aven and Olivia Nichols, Ian, Sydney and Adam Tutterrow, Zoe and Mia Cuneio,  one brother; John Osborn and wife, Delilah of Cuba, MO, one sister; Erma Schmidt of Rocky Mount, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Along with her parents; Elmer and Mamie Osborn, Jean was preceded in death by her husband; Floyd Cuneio, one son; Rev. Jerry Cuneio, a granddaughter; Shelby Tutterrow,  one sister and brother in law; Elva and Roscoe Tyree, brother in law; Don Schmidt.

Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at First Assembly of God in Sullivan, MO with Pastor Derik Ruble and Pastor Kyle Phillips officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Sullivan, MO. Visitation for Jean Cuneio was from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, at First Assembly of God in Sullivan, MO. Memorials to the Gideon’s are appreciated.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home.
