Donald Delcour obit colorDonald E. Delcour, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Granite City, IL, at the age of 77 years.

Don as he was known was born on November 18, 1938 to the late Asa and Beulah Brown Delcour in Sullivan, MO. He was employed by the former Meramec Mining Company until its closing and then by the Capitol Quarry on Highway FF in Sullivan. Don was a true cowboy who enjoyed farming the family land, riding horses, hunting and traveling out west. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of Sullivan Saddle Club and American Quarter Horse Association. He loved John Wayne.

He is survived by five siblings, Darlene Sebesak of Granite City, IL, Nedra Diehl and husband Stash of Fenton, MO, Janet Kromray of Granite City, IL, Stanley Delcour and wife Sandy of Belleville, IL, Donna Hunter and husband Gary of Bourbon, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by two brothers in infancy, and two brothers-in-law, Joe Sabesak and Stanley Kromray.

A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m.  Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO with Mr. Jerry Brown officiating.

All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
