Dolores I.  Politte

Dolores Politte 2-17 colorDolores I.  Politte of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the age of 80 years.
Dolores was born on December 23, 1935 to the late Jess A. and Lizzie (Peters) Blankenship at Elmont, Missouri. She attended Sullivan High School. She was employed at International Shoe Company, Deb Shoe Company and retired from Pacer Industries in Washington, Missouri. On June 24, 1972 she was united in marriage to James W. Politte. She enjoyed helping Jim on the farm taking care of the cattle and going to Auctions. Jim passed away December 6, 2009. Dolores was a member of First Baptist Church of Bourbon, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Auxiliary, and the I.A.M. Lodge 777. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, especially on Christmas which was also Jim’s birthday. Dolores was a very caring person and she enjoyed spending time and having lunch with her many friends and relatives.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Hedges and wife, Robyn of Sullivan, Missouri, one granddaughter, Alisyn Bryan, three step-sons, Ronald Politte and wife, Debra of Defiance, Missouri, Kenneth Politte and wife, Vicki of Sullivan, Martin Politte of Sullivan, two step-daughters, Susan Politte and Patti Carey and husband, Alan all of Sullivan, 18 grandchildren, 15  great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Jean Politte and Mildred Miller, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Murrell Blankenship and wife, Anna, Vernon Blankenship and wife, Eva, and Bernard Blankenship and wife, Lily.
Funeral services were conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri with cremation following. Visitation for Mrs. Politte was held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri. Memorials to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Foundation are appreciated.
