Robert L. “Bob” Trokey age 80, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Sullivan. Bob was born January 30, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to the late Joseph and Lora (Rickus) Trokey. On September 14, 1956 he married Sonja Green in St. Louis. She survives of the home.
Bob is survived by three children; Two sons, Joe Trokey of Sullivan and Ben Trokey of Lebanon, MO. One daughter, Connie Christians also of Sullivan. Three grandchildren: Lauren and Leah Christians, and Jacob Trokey.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
Bob served his country in three branches of service. Four years in the Army National Guard, eight years in the Air Force and two years in the Naval Reserve. He enjoyed photography, woodworking, drawing cartoons, scouting and the outdoors, especially sailing. Bob’s passion in life was a teacher. He earned a PhD in education and enjoyed teaching kids that were at risk.
