jim bachJames L. Bach of Bourbon, Missouri passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday June 12th, 2015 at the age of 71 years old.
Jim was born in St. Louis, MO on January 16, 1944 to the late Jack L. Bach and Marguerite Davis Bach.
On November 28, 1967 he was united in marriage to Beverly Fulks Bach, they spent the majority of their married life in the Sullivan and Bourbon areas.
Jim enjoyed hunting, boating, camping and frying fish. He was the type of person that never met a stranger. He was generous and always lent a helping hand. Jim was actively involved as a member at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles aerie 4307 in Bourbon. Where he served as past president and a current trustee. He enjoyed socializing with all of the members.
For most of his life he worked as a tool and die maker and machinist as well as owning his own local machine shop. As a hobby he used his extraordinary machinist skills to design and make chokes and gun parts that were used in the surrounding area shooting matches.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Fulks Bach, five daughters, Julye Vogler of Union, MO; Angie Pinnell of Leslie, MO; Wendy Nye and husband, Jeffrey, of Sullivan, MO; Melissa Woodruff and husband, Rodney, of Sullivan, MO; Jamie Kage of Bourbon MO; Mark Pinnell, Sr. of Leasburg, MO who he considered his own son. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jim leaves one brother, Robert Bach and wife, Linda, of Sullivan, MO; 3 sisters, Rita Heady of Bourbon, MO; Carol Cowhick and husband, Jimmie, of Sullivan, MO; Wanda Fudge of Nashville, TN; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his son James Randolph “Randy” Bach, and Terry Sands mother of Julye Vogler.
A Celebration of his life is planned for Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Bourbon Community Center. Doors will open at 4:30 pm, with the service beginning at 6:00 pm and dinner to immediately follow.
At Jim’s request his inurnment will be at the Stanton Cemetery in Stanton, MO where he will be at rest with his son Randy.
