ImageJane Beckett, 80, of Campbell, passed away, Friday, June 5, 2015 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Beckett, daughter of William Ralph and Isabelle Watters Cavenah, was born on November 23, 1934 in St. Louis, MO.
She retired from the Campbell School, having worked in the Cafeteria.
Jane attended school and church in Bourbon, MO, where she met Fred Beckett and began her lifelong dedication of ministering to others. Jane supported this commitment through various occupations such as the cap factory in Bourbon, MO, a garment factory in Minneapolis, MN, while Fred attended North Central Bible College. She further continued assisting Fred at numerous churches through positions with the Assembly of God’s Women’s Ministries, various Nutrition Centers, Meals On Wheels, church camps, and playing the piano. She enjoyed reading, quilting, being a Brownie leader, sewing, and baking and decorating beautiful works of art better known as “one of Jane’s cakes”.
On October 19, 1951 in Bourbon, MO, she was united in marriage to Fred Lawrence Beckett.  He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Barr of Montgomery City, MO, Kathy Beckett of Stuart, FL; two sons, Garry Beckett and wife, Kimberly of Campbell, Danny Beckett and wife, Cheryl of Cody, WY; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandy Washburn of Selma, OR; one brother, Jack Cavenah and wife, Barb of Fort Worth, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Ralph Cavenah, Jr. and Robert Cavenah; two sisters, Shirley Coffey and Nadine Mulkey and one granddaughter, Anna Helena.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.  Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., on Tuesday, June 9, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with Rev. Stan Welch officiating and a gathering of friends at the Bourbon Assembly of God Church in Bourbon on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 3-4 p.m., with burial following at Bourbon City Cemetery in Bourbon, MO.
