Mildred Doris Armfield, 86, recently of Rogers, AR, but long-time resident of Sullivan and Perryville, MO, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. She was born March 12, 1929 in Cape Girardeau, MO to the late Elam Robert and Holda Hoehn McLain.
Following a career as a retail clerk, she enjoyed playing games, times shared with friends, dancing, keeping up and spending time with her grandkids. An amazing woman who impacted many of those around her, she was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Her parents and her husband, Oscar Armfield, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Robert Armfield (and companion, Ellen Baty) of Rogers, AR; life-partner, Bud Layton; four grandchildren, Ryan, Shane, Sofi and Maki Armfield and two great-grandchildren Austin and Valor Cunningham (Armfield).
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, AR. A visitation was also held Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel, Sullivan. Funeral Service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel in Sullivan, MO with Rev. Ed. Hatcher officiating. Burial to follow in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Sullivan.
Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers and Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
